Building my first acoustic guitar. This instrument was built from a Stewart-MacDonald 000 guitar kit. The back and sides are Rosewood, the top Sitka Spruce.
This guitar was built mostly "stock" from the StewMac kit, though I opted to trim the instrument with curly maple binding and side purfling. It's finished with Birchwood Casey Tru-Oil. The rosewood and mahogany were pore-filled with Z-Poxy, and the top has a thin coat of shellac beneath the Tru-Oil.
Completed June 2008.
