The jigsaw blade is a Bosch T101AO. I ground the blade down to a width of around .145" so that it is narrow enough to easily pass through the bridge holes.

The handle is made from two maple strips that "sandwich" the blade shank. The blade shank is inset into one of the maple strips and the package is then glued together and shaped by hand.
