Side Panels and Stiles Cut to Size

Side Panels and Stiles Cut to Size

My design for this cabinet uses biscuits-only to join the 1/2" ply panels to the rails and stiles. I've designed it this way to simplify the construction of shop/utility cabinets.

I'm very careful at this point to accurately size and square the panels, since inaccuracies here would ripple throughout the whole cabinet.

Since this is just a shop/utility cabinet, I'm using just pre-milled pine from a home center.  If this were real furniture, I'd be accurately milling the material to dimension myself.

The rails are cut at oversize lengths right now and will be trimmed flush later.  This simplifies the glue-up since I don't need to be concerned with the accurate positioning of the rails.
